Hudson Valley Handbells, a site for English Handbell ringers, directors and listeners in the Hudson Valley Region of New York State

OUR MISSION STATEMENT: The primary mission of the Hudson Valley Handbell. Festival Conference (HVHFC) is to promote the art of handbell ringing by providing an opportunity for local and/or visiting handbell choirs to perform in a massed, divisional, and solo choir framework, and present a concert to the general public. To further the art of handbell ringing, HVHFC may, at the discretion of the governing body, also provide financial assistance to handbell choirs or members of the Handbell Musicians of America who are in serious documented need.

Hudson Valley Young Ringers Festival

The first Young Ringers Festival was held and organized by Susan Guse at her home church St. John's Lutheran Church in Poughkeepsee in 2010 with Kathleen Wessigner as the guest conductor. In 2011 the Hudson Valley Handbell Festival/Conference provided financial support to help the Young Ringers Festival become an established program for middle school bell choirs. It is the mission of the Hudson Valley Young Ringers Festival to provide middle school age bell choirs (grades 4-8) with a mass ringing festival experience geared towards the needs of young people.
