OUR MISSION STATEMENT: The primary mission
of the Hudson Valley Handbell. Festival Conference (HVHFC) is to promote
the art of handbell ringing by providing an opportunity for local and/or
visiting handbell choirs to perform in a massed, divisional, and solo
choir framework, and present a concert to the general public. To further
the art of handbell ringing, HVHFC may, at the discretion of the
governing body, also provide financial assistance to handbell choirs or
members of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers who are in
serious documented need.

Hudson Valley Young Ringers
Festival
The first Young Ringers Festival was held and
organized by Susan Guse at her home church St. John's Lutheran Church in
Poughkeepsee in 2010 with Kathleen Wessigner as our guest conductor.
Last year, the festival was held at the Presbyterian Church of Mount
Kisco, Abi Gray's church, with Donna Kinsley as our guest conductor. We
appreciate the support of HVHFC to help the Young Ringers Festival
become an established program for middle school bell choirs. It is our
mission to provide middle school age bell choirs (grades 4-8) of the
Hudson Valley with a mass ringing festival experience geared towards the
needs of young people. This year's festival will be held on Saturday,
March 10th, 2012 at the Presbyterian Church of Mount Kisco in Mount
Kisco, New York. Set up and registration begins at 9:00, rehearsal
begins at 10:00 with a concert for family, friends and the community at
4:00 PM. All choirs are encouraged to play a solo at the concert. A free
will offering will be collected to support the growth and expansion of
the Young Ringers Festival.
